A Recipe for Socks in All Sizes

This pattern is written using tables to ‘fill in the blanks’. Insert the tabled numbers for your size whenever you see a __ in the instructions. There are 13 sizes available in this pattern, from kids to giants, enough to make a pair for all the feet you know. Socks are knit top-down with a heel flap and gussets.

Materials: About 110 yds [100 m] of sport-weight wool in MC; 90 yds [82 m] in CC.
Yarn Details: 100-800 yds of fingering-weight / sock yarn, depending on your chosen size
Needles: US1 [2.25 mm] circulars or DPNs to suit your preferred method of knitting in the round.
Gauge: 8 stitches & 12 rows per square inch in stockinette
Finished Size: 5″ [13 cm] up to 11″ [28 cm] leg circumference.
Other: tapestry needle for darning ends; stitch markers
