Granola is not just for breakfast, it is a wonderful snack to take when you are out and about and tempted by potato chips.
Chose your favorite dried fruits and nuts, I have not met a nut or fruit that does not taste great in this recipe.
If you would like to add crystallized fruits, like ginger or papaya, do not add them in at the beginning with the other ingredients, as the oil will do away with the crystallization. Add them after all of the other ingredients have been combined and give the whole thing a very quick stir before turning out to the baking sheet.
