Welcome to the Ennea Collective eMag!
This bimonthly on-line publication is geared towards handspinners, providing an eclectic range of interesting topics, with articles on indie dyers and fiber shops, small fiber farmers, technical articles, as well as patterns specifically designed for handspun.
This product was the result of innumerable emails back and forth between Lori Law of Ontario, Canada, and Anne Podlesak, of New Mexico, USA, discussing the pros and cons of various yarn design details, spinning styles, colorways, and fibers, as well as multiple “enabler alerts!” about fun new-to-us vendors. From these came the decision to leap into an easily accessible, online publication that will explore many of these topics, from different characteristics of various wool breeds, to figuring out the best way to calculate your warp and weft needs for a handwoven project, to finding out new or new-to-you indie artists and small farms.
We are always happy to consider design proposals for handspun yarn projects, from felting to knitting to weaving. If there’s a great fiber festival in your area, or maybe you’ve stumbled across a great technique or tip for other spinners – we’d love to hear from you about that as well! To find us on the web, please look for us on: Facebook, Twitter and Ravelry, or sign up for our newsletter. Information on new updates, sneak peeks and information about the magazine will appear here at the Ennea Collective blog (RSS Feed), so be sure to bookmark and check back often!
We sincerely hope you’ll enjoy all that magazine has to offer. We hope it will become a fun and easily accessible resource for knitters and weavers, as well as handspinners.
