In Cancale, the ocean color is a stunningly beautiful sea foam green and the tidal surge is the strongest in the world. The Cancale Pillow’s knitted waves and sea foam ruffle are backed with home décor fabric.
Materials: MC – 228 yds [208 m] of sport/dk weight yarn; CC – 442 yds [404 m] of lace to light fingering weight yarn.
Yarn Details: MC – 3-ply hand-spun fingering Superwash Merino Wool, 14 wpi; 3-ply Superwash Merino Wool, 32 wpi.
Needles: US4 [3.5 mm] straights or circulars; US5 [3.75mm] circulars.
Gauge: MC – 21 stitches & 32 rows per 4” square [10 cm] in stockinette; CC – not necessary.
Finished Size: 13”x13” [33×33 cm] (see notes).
For Sewing: 1 bag of fiberfill/pillow stuffing; 0.5 yd [.46m] muslin for interior pillow; 0.5 yd [.46m] home décor cotton fabric for backing – fabric in sample is Amy Butler August Fields Collection, Sunrise, in seafoam;
Other: tapestry needle for darning, stitch markers.
