Designed for a beaded yarn to show off some sparkle, this simple scarf can be knit with any weight yarn. Simply cast on any odd number of stitches and use needles several sizes larger than you normally would for your yarn weight, and this will make a great, quickly knit accessory.
Materials: About 275 yds [251 m] of sport-weight/light DK yarn.
Yarn Details: A single-ply hand-spun yarn from BFL-silk roving, plied loosely with a thin rayon commercial thread accented beads. The BFL-silk was spun using a semi-woolen technique. 12 wpi, 336 yds [307 m] per 4 oz, 1344 ypp.
Needles: US9 [5.5mm].
Gauge: 5 stitches per inch over stockinette stitch.
Finished Size: 5” wide x 65” long [13 x 166 cm]
Other: tapestry needle for darning ends.
